Social Media

As a marketing Apprentice, I work primarily using social media. I manage the company's social media accounts which include Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

We use a lof of stock images on our social media pages so I have chosen the work that I created myself using different websites and software. All of the images you can see of children are Stock images.

It is important I stick to the company colours and logo.

For this piece of work it was important to make it clear to read as well as insightful for the reader.

It was created to make people aware of the different stages of fostering and what the next steps are for people interested.

I created a new Facebook banner. I chose to use the company colours and used an image of a child so people understand what it is we do. The headline is catchy and gives people an idea of what we do and I added our website URL so people can find out more about us as an agency if they are interested in fostering.

I noticed on our YouTube account that our profile was quite plain so I decided to create a YouTube banner that was fun and colourful as well as explaining what who we are so they understand what our content is about.

For our Instagram and Facebook content I like to use quotes from foster carers and foster children.

This gives our feed a personal touch as people can hear from real foster carers that work with us.

I try to be playful with the layout and use company colours but be consistent with the posts so I always use the same designs but change the background images.

138,075 households applied to foster in 2022.png
Last year there were 8,280 applicants reported. This is 21% lower than many previous years
We get hundreds of referrals every single day. (1).png

I created these 3 images to post as Facebook ad images. They all have fostering statistics on them and look gloomy/sad.

We usually keep our content positive but wanted to see if sad images had a bigger impact on getting us enquiries.
